Implant Overdentures
Implant overdentures are a stable and comfortable alternative to traditional dentures. They combine the support of dental implants with the convenience of a removable denture, offering improved function, retention, and confidence for patients who are missing most or all of their teeth.
Unlike conventional dentures that rest on the gums and can shift or loosen, implant overdentures securely attach to dental implants placed in the jawbone. This added stability allows for better chewing ability, clearer speech, and a more natural feel. Overdentures also help preserve bone in the jaw, which can prevent the sunken facial appearance that often occurs with long-term denture use.
Our team will evaluate your oral health and bone structure to determine the optimal number and placement of implants—typically two to four per arch. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia with optional laughing gas (nitrous oxide) for added comfort. We do not offer IV sedation at this time. If you feel like you need this, please let us know and you will be referred to an office with this service.
We coordinate closely with your restorative dentist or prosthodontist to ensure your final overdenture is functional, aesthetic, and tailored to your needs. Implant overdentures are an excellent solution for patients seeking improved stability and quality of life with their dentures.
